Anastasia Motorina is a Russian fitness model, known for her fit and lean physique. She inspires fans everywhere with her dedication to fitness; often sharing her advice on training and nutrition with them.

However, Anastasia wasn’t always a prime example of health. Before she started her fitness journey, Anastasia ate a lot of processed foods, and also, wasn’t very active. As a result, she looked overweight and out of shape.

This changed in 2009, when Anastasia decided to take the matter into her own hands; adopting a weight training and cardio program, and also, cleaning up her diet from ‘the roots.’ This decision saw Anastasia transform her looks and health, in a matter of months.

Through this transformation, Anastasia was inspired to start her social media sites; posting pictures and videos of her journey on the internet. Which, in turn, brought her worldwide recognition; allowing her to make fitness a full-time job.

Training

Although Anastasia isn’t a professional fitness athlete, she says she trains like one. This means, working out with weights five times per week, and doing cardio three to four times per week.

She typically trains with heavier weights, believing they are the key to muscle toning. Occasionally, Anastasia might train with lighter weights, but with a lot more intensity – this shocks her muscles, making them grow.

Abs and Calves Workout

  • Hanging Leg Raises, 3 sets of warm-up, followed by 3 working sets of 12 reps
  • Cable Crunches, 3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Swiss Ball Crunches, 3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Oblique Twists, 3 sets of 8-12 reps
  • Planks, 3 sets until failure
  • Seated Calf Raises, 3 sets of 12-14 reps
  • Standing Smith Machine Calf Raises, 3 sets of 10-12 reps
  • Donkey Calf Raises, 3 sets of 14-16 reps

Nutrition

Anastasia Motorina’s Healthy Diet

Anastasia’s diet is extremely clean. It consists of foods like brown rice, asparagus, kale, lean poultry meat, low-fat Greek yogurt, and coconut oil.

Cheat meals are rare in Anastasia’s diet, but when she has one – she’ll allow herself to eat as much as her body craves.

Weighing Foods

Anastasia strongly believes in using a scale when dieting. She says, scales are important for anyone who wants to drop body fat, or gain significant amount of muscle.

Supplementation

Anastasia takes whey protein to help her reach her daily protein goal. In addition, she also takes glutamine which helps with muscle recovery, zinc for her skin, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, and a quality multivitamin.

What we can learn from Anastasia Motorina

While it wasn’t an easy road for Anastasia, she never gave up on her ambition for a toned and aesthetic physique. Once she decided she wanted to change her looks, and life, she didn’t stop until that goal was reached.

Because of this mindset, Anastasia now lives a life of her dreams; traveling the world as a fitness model, and being a huge inspiration.
