Training

Changes in Training

Bruna’s training has changed a lot over the years. Initially, she trained using only cardio machines – hoping this would give her a toned and aesthetic look.

However, Bruna soon realized that she wasn’t getting the results she wanted. It was at this point she took on weightlifting. Not long after adopting a five-day-per-week training split, her physique began looking better and better.

While Bruna still does cardio every now and again, her main priority is weight training. This allows her to sculpt and reshape her figure while still maintaining a healthy body fat percentage.

Bruna’s Lower Body Workout

Here’s a workout Bruna follows when she wants to tone her legs and glutes:

  • Bodyweight squats, 3 sets of 20 reps (warm-up)
  • Barbell Squats, 3 sets of 12-14 reps
  • Leg press, 3 sets of 12-14 reps
  • Lunges, 3 sets of 12-14 steps
  • Cable glute kickbacks, 3 sets of 16-18 reps

Nutrition

Bruna is aware of the importance that diet has on her health and body. For this reason, she only plans her meals around unprocessed and natural food sources.

These include:

  • Raw fruits and vegetables
  • Dark berries (especially blueberries)
  • Avocados
  • Pasture-raised Chicken and Eggs
  • Quinoa
  • Sweet potatoes

In terms of supplements, Bruna avoids them for the most part. Her goal is to meet her nutrient requirements through solid food alone. However, on occasions when she doesn’t have an access to healthy foods, she’ll opt for a multivitamin and protein shake to get the essential nutrients.
