Iree Mateos
Iree Mateos is a bodybuilder and entrepreneur from Seville, Spain. She’s known for her well-built quadriceps, along with her straight-forward approach to bodybuilding, which has attracted many fans around the world.
While Iree is proud of the body she has built, it wasn’t always so easy for her to build muscle. Iree says, she was “skinny” in her youth, eating a very unhealthy diet which prevented her from building her desired “superheroine” body.
She didn’t lift weights at all in the beginning of her fitness journey, but instead, opted for cardio workouts. However, when she saw other muscular females at her local gym, made her “envious”. It was this passion to achieve the same kind of physique that inspired her to follow the bodybuilding path.
Today, Iree is an accomplished bodybuilder who has introduced heavy weight-lifting into her routine. Since the start of her journey into bodybuilding, she’s also started her own business, training others online – seeing this as an extremely rewarding experience. This is her story:
“Are you going to keep wasting time? Live now!”

Irees transformation
“Its easy to speak badly about others and believe you’re the best, but do not forget where you came from”.
Training
Compound Lifts
Iree likes to focus on heavy weight training, aiming to add as much muscle as possible to her physique. Because of this, she lifts the heaviest weight she can and focuses mainly on compound exercises. She enjoys the bench-press in particular, as she likes the aesthetic quality it produces when done correctly.
When it comes to her legs, Iree likes to incorporate squats and lunges into her routine, as these exercises work the glutes, quads and calves. She usually completes her leg workout on early on in the week, as doing so, enables her to create an anabolic state in her body throughout the rest of the week.
“Not everyone wants to have the same muscle, not everyone wants to look the same but that is no reason to criticize. Because in the end, we all go to the gym to love our skin”.
