Felipe Franco is a highly accomplished bodybuilder from Brazil. His love for the lifting sport emerged when Franco was 17, just before he enrolled in college to study physical education.
As his knowledge of bodybuilding progressed, so did Felipe’s results in the gym – he became one of the most ripped guys at his college.
During college, Felipe kept a student’s mindset not just in the classroom, but also with his approach to training and nutrition. He learned all there is to learn about bodybuilding.
One thing led to the next, and Felipe decided to pursue the sport full-time as soon as he would finish college.
After graduation, Felipe threw himself into the world of competitive bodybuilding.
After ‘testing the waters’ in his first couple of contests, his hunger for trophies increased as he set out to win the famed Pro Card.
Felipe Franco before and after.
Through years of hard work and determination, Felipe won his Pro status, as well as the recognition and respect from other athletes.
He now competes in the biggest shows around the world. In some of these contests, Felipe beat all of his opponents and took the champion title. These shows include:
Despite his ‘meteoric’ rise to the top, Franco stays hungry for even more success. He applies this mentality to all areas of his career, including bodybuilding, personal training, and entrepreneurship.
Felipe’s training is dynamic and ever-changing. Unlike other pro athletes, he doesn’t stick to a set routine but rather goes by the ‘feeling’.
With this approach, he keeps his body in a constant state of confusion.
Since his muscles never adapt to a particular routine, they are continuously forced to grow stronger.
Felipe trains 5 days per week in the gym, taking the weekends off.
However, he’ll add a Saturday workout on the days where he wants to focus on his weaker muscle groups.
In order to keep his ripped look, Felipe Franco stays in a caloric deficit or maintenance. This means he eats the same amount, or fewer calories than his body expends every day.
As for his food choice, Felipe doesn’t cut out any food group, such as carbs or fats. But certain foods are always off limits, including french fries, cheeseburgers, and refined sugars.
He advises replacing these foods with healthy alternatives, such as avocados, nuts, and olive oil. He also advises eating carbs that have a low glycemic index – including sweet potatoes and brown rice.
Felipe Franco is someone who doesn’t find it hard to wake up early, eat healthy foods, and train hard multiple times per week. It’s his lifestyle and he enjoys every minute of it.
With the same attitude, you too can accomplish any fitness goal – whether that’s building more muscle, or getting that six-pack you’ve always wanted.
